The Old Rectory offers a main dining room for meals including an additional dining area in the library/quiet room. Residents can also take meals in the privacy of their bedroom.
We trade locally for many of our ingredients for our catering needs, including butchers, fruit and vegetables, daily milk, fish, these items of produce are delivered to the home.
Breakfast can be served in the dining room but generally many residents prefer a tray delivered to their room. We serve ramekins of sliced mixed fresh fruit every morning to individual residents including a glass of sherry as an appetizer before lunch. The main meal of the day including a choice of main course and pudding is served in the dining room or the privacy of their bedroom.
Our cook prepares a selection of cakes daily which are served with afternoon tea, followed by supper, a lighter meal, served early in the evening. We provide a full nutritional balanced diet for all residents needs.
We operate a weekly seasonal menu with two individual choices for lunch and supper; additional snacks are available throughout the day and evening, including beverages when requested. |
